Job Description
- Provide in-home, behavior coaching to children, adolescents and families.
- Participate in Child and Family Team meetings.
- Develop age appropriate interventions based on behavioral goals established by the Team.
- Teach behavioral interventions to the client(s), reinforce follow-through and report findings.
- Complete documentation.
- Partake in weekly supervision and scheduled trainings
Skills and Requirements
- B.A./B.S. in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, Education or related field
- 1 year direct experience working with children, adolescents or families with behavioral difficulties
- Some knowledge and experience implementing behavioral interventions
- Ability to work independently and with a team

POSITION: Mental Health Clinician Job Description
Under the direction of the AYFS Clinical Director, the clinician is responsible for collaborating with the Child and Family Team (CFT) to determine the child's behavioral and mental health needs and assist in meeting their goals. This is achieved through the development of comprehensive assessments, treatment plans and crisis plans, and by working within a multi-modal team to increase the child's success in the home, school, and community. The AYFS clinician provides individual, family, and/or group counseling through evidence-based, culturally competent, family-focused approaches to a diverse population of children and families. The AYFS clinician also collaborates with other agencies such as DCS, DDD, JPO, schools, and the PCP to ensure the child and family's needs are effectively met. Participation in weekly individual and group supervision that supports clinician's licensure requirements is expected, and clinicians must maintain good standing with AzBBHE. The clinician also participates in the after-hours on-call administrator rotation to provide telephonic support and guidance to staff working in the field.
Skills and Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited school in the field of social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or related behavioral health field
- Licensure through the AzBBHE preferred
- Must be eligible to receive and maintain a DPS fingerprint clearance
- Able to effectively communicate with supervisors, parents / caregivers, clients, and other service providers / team members
- Knowledge and understanding of child abuse laws, HIPAA requirements
- Understanding of cultural issues and demonstration of cultural competence
- Meeting or exceeding documentation deadlines and expectations
- Spanish-speaking preferred
